Flex Seal’s brand voice is bold, loud, and unmistakable—but that doesn’t mean it can’t adapt. This work shows how we stretched the brand’s creative range while staying true to its no-nonsense, results-driven personality.
You’ll see how we took a softer, more reflective approach for the Winter Olympics tribute, a major departure from our usual high-energy style. You’ll also find examples of social content that kept fans engaged, entertained, and talking—whether it was promoting a new product, responding in real time, or just having some fun. And finally, a social video for the YooTooz Phil Swift figure, proving that even a brand built on fixing things can break the internet when the moment’s right.
Flex Seal is all about making an impact. Here’s how I made sure the message stuck.
My Role:
✦ Concept & Script
✦ Original Score
winter olympics TV
Flex Seal is known for its high-energy ads, but for this Olympic tribute, I took a different approach. I wrote the VO, edited the video, and even composed the soundtrack—shaping a softer, more reflective side of the brand.
This spot also marked the debut of "Because It Works," the tagline I created, which is now printed on every single product and remains Flex Seal’s official line to this day. Instead of Phil’s usual over-the-top enthusiasm, we went with a more measured, heartfelt delivery, celebrating the dedication and resilience of Olympic athletes.
It was a big departure from what we normally did, but the core message stayed the same: results matter. Whether it’s an Olympian pushing for gold or a can of Flex Seal stopping a leak, hard work pays off. Here’s how we honored champions while introducing a line that still defines the brand today.
Because It Works.
For the Toolbox Hero campaign, I pushed Flex Seal beyond its As-Seen-on-TV voice, speaking directly to skilled tradespeople. The tone was tougher, more direct—built for those who see their tools as an extension of themselves.
Instead of flashy demos, these posts focused on real-world fixes, subtle humor, and respect for DIY ingenuity. The visuals leaned gritty and workshop-ready, positioning Flex Seal as a legit tool—not a gimmick.
